Why Meta Tag is important?

Meta Tag is an HTML tag that contains all the necessary information for search engine about any website or blog. Meta tag contains all the keywords or phrases that alerts search engine of any website’s content to be included in search results for any users requesting related information.

tiYou must include meta tag in the portion of each web page that you want to be indexed by the search engines. You must place meta content in the corresponding tag, it includes:

The <title> meta tag

The Title tag is one of the most important elements in website optimization process.  Most of the search engines pay attention to keywords that tend to be in the title tag. The content of the meta tag TITLE tells what will appear at the top of any browser’s window. Each title of every page of your website/blog must be unique and different.

The <Keyword> meta tag

The Keyword meta tag lists the search keywords for any webpage. You must include words or phrases that users use to search something on any search engine. This is good practice to add this tag before submitting any page. So, it is recommended not to use words in <keyword> tag if they are not used in the actual content of your page.

The <description> meta tag

The description is what your potential readers will see under the title whenever Google lists the website in its search results.
